Top Recommended 2027 NFL Draft Websites

1. DKDB Curated NFL Mock Draft Database

A reliable hub for mock drafts from many of the industry’s top analysts, with easy access to links and prospect profiles. The site is run by Lou Pickney, who founded the site as Draft King back in 2003 and brings decades of experience to the space, including strong showings in The Huddle Report’s tracking. DKDB also offers useful tools like a mock draft simulator directory.

He’s recently expanded into video content, which adds another layer to DKDB's coverage for the 2027 cycle.

2. WalterFootball

Best place to go for NFL Draft rumors, whispers, and informed opinions. Walter Cherepinsky has been farming engagement from angry readers before that term was widely used. There's an authenticity to the presentation with the well-connected Charlie Campbell providing valuable reports. Good video content on YouTube.

Walter is entertaining and I support his use of the legacy Redskins name. Added value of gambling info for those who partake, though I personally discourage such things. The site is a mess to navigate, but it's worth the effort.

3. ESPN

They don't produce as much written content as before, and the partnership between ESPN and NFL Network is not going to be a net gain for the consumer. Welcome to the modern-day media world. Yet ESPN has some strong talent and enough resources to make it worthwhile. Their coverage leans more toward mainstream storylines and video-driven content, which may not appeal to everyone, but it remains a solid option for keeping up with the broader draft conversation.

4. CBS Sports

They don't have the star power with names like ESPN or NFL Media, but Pete Prisco has put out great work for years and the ensemble cast of mostly unknowns has content that I consider quality. But it's clear that the long-standing CBS brand is the star here, to the point the talent presentation seems to intentionally make them look interchangable.

5. NFL Draft Buzz

AI evaluation suggests that this site uses machine-generated scaled content for some of the deep cut prospects; if that's untrue, the site owner(s) need to make that clear. I didn't notice it, but ChatGPT and Perplexity and Gemini sure did. But the top prospect profiles appear to be human-made and have a lot of very detailed information that I find both interesting and useful. Lack of clarity on who runs the site is a negative.

6. The Athletic

If you're going to pay for one premium NFL Draft-related service, make it The Athletic. While I personally have contempt for the New York Times, which bought The Athletic some time ago, at least for now The Athletic lives in its own bubble without the weird way of writing that the news section forces on its writers. Imagine if Dane Brugler's The Beast prospect resource listed all people with Mr. before their name on every reference.

Insist on the best in National Football League coverage.
